Исследована зависимость между массой тела и поведенческими характеристиками (тревожность, ранг, агрессивное поведение, исследовательская активность, общительность) социально содержащихся взрослых самцов макаков яванских. Выраженная связь с массой тела обнаруживается только по показателям тревожности. Обращает на себя внимание более сильная связь c массой тела базовой тревожности (state anxiety) по сравнению с таковой между массой тела и ситуативной тревожностью (trait anxiety).

A study of the relationship between body weight and behavior of socially housed adult male Cynomolgus macaques was carried out. The aim of the study was to identify the relationships between body weight and the 5 studied forms of behavior in laboratory primates. It was found that out of the studied forms of behavior of male Cynomolgus macaques, namely, social status, sociability, anxiety, aggression and research behavior, a pronounced relationship with body weight is found only in anxiety. Noteworthy is the stronger relationship with body weight of state anxiety compared with the relationship between body weight and trait anxiety.
